    Description

RARE 1939 RCA VICTOR GOLDEN GATE (BRIDGE) INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION RADIO 40X-57 FEATURING THE TOWER OF SUN WITH SYROCO WOOD FRONT.
Beautiful radio and one of RCA's rarest radio's made fro the 1939-1940 World's Fair in San Francisco. Dimensions are approx. 9"wide x 6.25"tall (not including handle)
Condition Report: Please note this piece is being sold
    "AS IS"
    in
    NON-WORKING condition
. We plugged it in but heard nothing when switched on. The tuning dial does work and move and
is marked "RCA" and "Victor" and tunes from "55" to "Police 170"
. The handle is loose up top, but can be picked up (we don't recommend). There is a crack in the wood running across the top that does move a little when handle is lifted, so that is something to be aware of. Also, there is a name, Mike Morgner, carved on the top. Please note that the left side of the radio has a different two different pieces of wood, so one maybe an old repair? There is another crack in wood along right side top. There are some tubes that came with radio that we'll throw in as well, not knowing what they are or if they work. Very rare and collectible radio! I think someone with a little knowledge of these could get it working again. Thanks for looking!
Please look over photos closely and ask any questions before purchasing. Thank You!!!
