With the naked eye, I see no scratches or chips other than on the gold plating on the edge of the plate and it appears to be from the plate holder rubbing against the edge. This is a beautiful plate and a Copy Righted Official Souvenir.

    A souvenir plate from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition, San Francisco Bay, California. Plate measures 10" across. Colors are bright and the plate is in excellent condition.
    This was hung in the family home as I recall. With the naked eye, I see no scratches or chips other than on the gold plating on the edge of one side of the plate and it appears to be from the plate holder rubbing against the edge. This is a beautiful plate and a Copy Righted Official Souvenir. See images. I will ship this for free. Great Collector's item.
