their victorious finish of the prestigious 300-mile race in
Dodge City
in 1915.
This is a very historic photo; as it was Harley ‘s first major racing victory ever!

Wrecking Crew
” as they tended to smash the competition completely…

It is a gorgeous photo with great historic value, as it put Harley for the first time on the map as a brand to be taken

seriously in racing!
The Wrecking Crew members on the photo are all sitting on the famous F-head factory racer.  The inlet valve was constructed as an overhead valve, the exhaust valve as a side valve.  This so called i.o.e. (inlet over exhaust) design worked incredibly well for H-D.
