Ken Kavanagh in action during the Coppa d’Oro race that was organized on the circuit of Imola during Easter on
April 2nd, 1956
. Kavanagh was leading very promisingly when he retired because of a faulted cooling fluid temperature gauge. Kavanagh thought that the engine was not getting any cooling and stopped the V-8 on the side of the circuit. After the race this image was send as a giant size poster to every Moto Guzzi dealer in
Italy
.
