    Description

    RARE 1939 ART DECO SAN FRANCISCO GOLDEN GATE EXPOSITION SOUVENIR PLATE.    This plate is in Amazing Vintage Condition.  I don't see any wear to this at all.  The gold edging around the rim of plate is still intact and has a very nice high gloss on entire plate.  A couple very tiny scratches on the front, look hard to see them.  No chips or cracks.  The San Francisco World's Fair opened in February of 1939 and these plates sold as souvenirs.  The plate is edged with Art Deco buildings and attractions with the Golden Gate bridge in the center along with poppy flowers which is California's state flower.  Measuring 10.5" approx across.  Shipping Fed Ex ground.
