Description
Tellurium Ingot, about 1.95 pounds. 99.7% purity. These may break in half during shipping, but I'll try to pack well. It's a metalloid, not metal, so with no too much effort, you can break these in half with your hands. This rare metalloid is considered toxic. If you touch with bare hands, wash. Do not ingest or inhale the dust or it can cause your body & breath to have a bad garlic smell for months.
These are not classified as a hazardous material.
Tellurium toxicity is considered class 6, not class 6.1. Class 6.1 is for tellurium compounds, not tellurium metal. Class 6.1 is poisonous which requires hazardous materials shipping. Hazardous materials are called "poisonous" due to having a toxicity of < 300 mg/kg body weight. Tellurium metal toxicity is >5000 mg/kg which is much lower toxicity, but the smell problem is considered potentially serious.
Asarco is the original manufacturer of these and says typical analysis is

copper - 0.01% max
selenium - 0.01% max
