250cc Velocette M.O.V.
during the
1953 250cc
Ulster
Grand Prix.
It is rare to find a racing photo of the M.O.V., we are happy that we found one in our archives. In 1933 the 248cc Veloce MOV was introduced. It featured overhead valves and a high camshaft. Shortly afterwards the similar 349cc MAC was introduced, in 1935 followed by the 499cc MSS. The MOV was a lovely motorcycle that definitely had a sportive pedigree. This photo is a wonderful witness of that!
The image shows great detail of the Velocette MOV 250, as it corners in very close distance from the camera.
