Description
Up for sale is a slightly used -pocket sized guide to the Italian port city of Genoa, home of Christopher Columbus. The city boasts a working lighthouse, La Lanterna, which was in operation for 60 years before Columbus sailed for the New World. The original was destroyed and rebuilt in the mid 16th Century. Unfortunately, the best views from the land are inside the heavily-patrolled container port. That said, if one has the right amount of guile...........!The guide was published in English in 1991. I got it new during a visit long ago. I used it during my stay there, took it home and it has been sitting inside a file cabinet for the last 30 years, since I returned from the country.
In addition to a map of all the major roads in the city center, there is all manner of traveler information, especially walking tours tailored to the cultural aspects of the city.
I am now over 80, and I need to downsize before my heirs have to do it for me.
Shipping includes a "stiffener" to keep the postal people from damaging the map.
If you get more than one of my listings, I will combine shipping and fees.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
